Members; Christmas comes early. Your 2012 Interval Training Bible is here and all that you need now is some SNOW! Print this out and study it, keep it in your ski bag so you all will know what the workout will be and finally, follow it! There will be one group this year so be prepared to keep your own time. We have also included some set times so that if you miss us at the beginning you will have a better idea of where you can find us and join in.

World Cycle & XC Ski is hosting two free Skate Ski Glide Waxing Clinics hosted by Matt Grover on December 15th and January 12th 7:00pm. Come on by for some knowledge and refreshments.

December 10th - Demo Days at Galena. Perch, Backwoods and IMT will have free demos
December 11th - Winterstart Race
Per IMT:
Nordic Ski Demo up date. While Bogus Basin has not received enough snow to ski yet… there is great skiing in Sun Valley. Idaho Mountain Touring has canceled our Ski demo scheduled for December 11th and will be joining the Sun Valley shops demo Saturday December 10th at Galena Lodge. For Boise skiers itching to ski we encourage you to come join us in Sun Valley to ski and try out all the new ski gear from Rossi, Fischer, Swix ,Atomic and Salomon. For racers the Winter Start Ski races will be happing on Sunday so make a weekend of it. If you can’t make it this weekend we will once again be one of only 20 Fischer RCS Demo centers in the country and will have great selection of demo gear to try out in the store all winter from Fischer as well as Atomic and Rossi. We have a second demo scheduled for January 7th as well. Go Skiing!

Morgan Arritola (SVSEF) took a break from the SuperTour this weekend to fly to Ka’a’awa, Hawaii for the Xterra Trail Run World Championships. She earned a free plane ticket and entry into the event by winning the
national-level championship this fall in Utah.
Arritola dominated the rest of the women’s field by over four minutes, finishing the half marathon in 1:33:00. Canada’s Lucy Smith crossed the line behind her in 1:37:46. Arritola’s victory earned her a $2,000 purse.
“The start was mayhem, there were so many runners,” she said after the race. “So I kind of just kept running and never really saw any of the other women.”
The women started with the men, and she ended up finishing an impressive 10th overall in the men’s field, +11:33 behind the men’s winner, Max King of Bend, Oregon.
