Dryland: On Snow This Week

Dry-Land is OVER.
Now that we have snow we will end the Tuesday evening Interval Sessions and the Wednesday evening Dry-Land Sessions will move up to Bogus for our On-Snow Sessions.
The On-Snow Sessions will begin this week, Wednesday December 1st. These are training sessions that will include some technique drills and the always popular interval sessions. The training sessions will start at 6:15 SHARP in front of the Nordic Lodge. If you miss the start you will most likely find us somewhere on the Nordic Highway, ski out and you can join the session in progress. For anyone not quite comfortable yet with their ski legs please check back soon for details on upcoming ski clinics for members.
The IN Van will begin running December 8th. The van departs from Highland Valley Elementary School at 5:15 or when full and seats are filled First-Come, First-Serve. To ride in the IN Van you MUST be a current member and the cost is $4.00 round-trip per person.
For this week meet at Highland Valley Elementary to carpool up to Bogus between 5:15 and 5:30 or meet up at the Bogus Nordic Center. Conditions are good but you might still want to bring your rock skis.
Note: The current plan is to ski at bogus this week December 1st, unless we get more snow in town we might choose to ski at the Simplot Soccer Complex. We will send out an email tomorrow to confirm Wednesday’s location.

Nicole Deyong and Colin Rogers will be in Boise on November 6th and 7th to give a couple of member only Idaho Nordic clinics.
Saturday, November 6: 8:00am

More technical, video sessions and long distance rollerski
**Idaho Nordic Van and carpool will leave Fort Boise (usual parking lot) at 8:30am**
If you suck at rollerskiing or do not rollerski you are still invited to attend these clinics. You can still learn a great deal about body position, timing and ski technique.
Nicole and Colin are members of the Sun Valley Olympic Development Team. Idaho Nordic Ski Club has given both of them financial support for a number of years to help them pursue top level skiing. Both have skied at the World Cup level and have secured several top 5 national events and overall rankings. We are fortunate to have these gifted athletes visit us and share their knowledge.

Annual Idaho Nordic First Snow/Membership Party

Mark your calendars for the Idaho Nordic First Snow/Membership Party on Saturday, Nov 13th (6pm - 11pm)!

2nd Annual SkiErg World Sprints

Idaho Nordic will be hosting the local division of the SkiErg World Sprints on Saturday, November 13th from 10am - Noon.
The event will be held at the Fort Boise Recreation Facility (same site as last year, 700 Robbins Rd in the multi-purpose room).
Cost is $5 at the door. Email info@idahonordic.com to secure your spot.
