IRONMAN 70.3 Boise – Idaho Nordic Volunteers
Posted on June 7th, 2010
Idaho Nordic Ski Club has been asked by the Ironman 70.3 to volunteer to be RUN COURSE ESCORTS. The event is Saturday, June 12th. We did this in 2009 and all who volunteered had a great time. It’s definitely the best volunteer position because we get to be a part of the action. This is a great way to take the time to volunteer to work a race, which all of us should do at least once or twice every year. Remember, without volunteers working on races and events there would not be any.
RUN COURSE ESCORTS are on mountain bikes and provide two functions: Safety for runners and Lead the top 3 men and top 3 women (alleviate confusion for racer and officials). Specifics are listed in this link……2010-boise-70-3-run-escorts_2.pdf
SO FAR ALL OF THE LEADER POSITIONS ARE FILLED AND WE ARE IN NEED OF 6 MORE VOLUNTEERS TO COVER THE GROUP 2 (LATE SHIFT)
If you have any questions please email: ejensen@aceco.com
If you want to commit now, please email me with your T-Shirt size.
Thanks,
Eric Jensen
