^Hello!

^{As you know, I have been pursuing cross country skiing for the past 3 years, living and training in Sun Valley, Idaho, in hopes of qualifying for the 2010 Winter Olympics. As individuals who have supported and encouraged me in the past, I am writing this letter in request for your support.}

^{This past season was successful and put me one step closer toward my Olympic dream. After a frigid U.S. Nationals in Anchorage AK, I qualified to represent the U.S. Ski Team at the Pre-Olympic World Cups on the Olympic courses in Whistler, B.C. As a highlight, I acquired my first world cup points by placing 30th in the 15k Pursuit race! The season continued with top results on the U.S. Super Tour circuit and four top-ten results at U.S. National Championships.}

^{I am excited to begin another year with new training plans, new training buddies, new goals and new experiences. This upcoming season is a very important one as the Olympics are just around the corner. In these next ten months, proper training, proper nutrition, proper medical needs and proper rest will all be very critical.}

^{In my quest for sponsors I have applied to America for Gold, a non-profit organization that aims to provide financial assistance to athletes through need-based grants. They are devoted solely to raising funds to help support athletes training for the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. As part of the organization’s application process, they require the athlete to find 10 donors to pledge support in my name. A minimum of $5/month or a one-time payment of $60/year is requested. If you feel like you are able to help at this time, it would be greatly appreciated!}
