Grand Targhee Resort is opening the Nordic track on Saturday. · Nordic day trail passes $6 a day until we get a little more snow. Purchase at Activities or Ski School
· Nordic season passes $105. Purchase at Activities
· Downhill season passes holders get to ski the track for free. They must have their passes with them.
· The majority of the track is excellent. The first 1km of the track is modified and may share part of the downhill cat track until we get more snow. People also need to be careful at a couple of the creek crossings. Check with Ski School for more info.
· We will not set the classic track until we get a little more snow. Current skate conditions are good.
There are SWEET LODGING DEALS going on for groups & individuals starting Friday night. If any teams are interested in booking a room at the hill or in our condos in the valley they should email group sales manager John Morgan at jmorgan@grandtarghee.com or call him at 307-353-2300 x1311. Thanks for spreading the word and please let me know if you have any questions. Our marketing department will send out a more official word but I wanted to let you all know it was indeed happening. I will go on the track tomorrow and send you an update about conditions.

When: Saturday November 22nd at 9:00am
Where: Fort Boise Parking Lot, east side
Registration Deadline: November 18th

Blood lactate testing is used to identify current training status and to develop accurate heart rate-based training zones. Multiple testing sessions throughout the season will provide the best indication of changes in fitness and metabolic efficiency. The second session is tentatively scheduled for December 27th, weather permitting.
Participants will need to bring their own heart rate monitor. We will meet at Fort Boise, and then the group will run out as a warm-up to the hill. From there we will send people out at specified intervals and at the top Corey will take lactate samples. Your test results and training zones will be sent to you via email the following Monday.
If you are going to do the testing:
#1) Mail your check today with the Physio Testing Reservation Form to Physio (Physio Performance Lab, LLC, 1414 W. Grove Street, Boise, ID, 83702) -OR- if paying by credit card call or email Corey at corey@physiopl.com, phone 303-229-7865.
