**PRE-RACE REPORT**
Ponderosa State Park – McCall, Idaho Wednesday, February 27th
THIS IS CURRENT PRE-RACE WAXING CONDITIONS AND CURRENT WEATHER REPORT. CONDITIONS MAY CHANGE, REPORTS WILL BE UPDATED DAILY.
FORECAST: (NOAA)- McCall
Wednesday Afternoon: A slight chance of rain showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 37. Light west wind. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Wednesday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 18. Light and variable wind.
Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 40. South southwest wind between 3 and 5 mph.
Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 16. South wind between 3 and 7 mph.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 43. South wind between 7 and 10 mph.
Friday Night: A slight chance of rain showers before 11pm, then a chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Saturday: A 40 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 35.
SKI SELECTION: soft/medium flex skate

BASE PREP: Clean skis with Swix CH10 or Swix Base Prep 99 using the hot scrape method….. Scrape and brush using Course Bronze Brush (T0158) or new Fine Steel brush (T0192. Apply layer of Swix MB77. Scrape and brush with Swix Fine Steel Brush (T0192) 6 strokes or Medium Bronze Brush (T0162) 10 stokes.
GLIDE WAX: Apply Swix HFBD8 scrape and brush using Medium Bronze (T0162) 10 strokes, followed by Blue Nylon Polishing brush (T160) 10-15 strokes. Finally, apply an over layer of FC8 Cera F powder. See Swix Wax manual for application of FC8.
STRUCTURE: T401 - .75mm
KICK WAX: First sand the kick zone with 100 grit sandpaper. Apply and iron in a thin layer of Swix KR20 klister base. Allow to cool for 10 minutes and harden. Apply one layer of KR22 universal klister, cover full length with two thin layers of VR65.
*Based on conditions on Wednesday afternoon; will be different in early mornings, but appears to be klister conditions at this time.
