Registration in Lodge: 8:30 to 9:15
Race Start times: 10:00am - 1k & 3k // approx. 10:25 – 5k & 10k
FORECAST: (NOAA)- Bogus Basin
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 13. Calm wind becoming south southeast between 5 and 8 mph.
Saturday: A 20 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 26. South southeast wind between 8 and 17 mph
SKI SELECTION: soft to medium flex ski
BASE PREP: Brush 10 strokes with medium bronze brush (T162) prior to applying glide wax.
STRUCTURE: Fine Linear Structure
(Windy conditions will pull moisture from snow and blowing dry snow onto to track)
GLIDE WAX:
2 options: FAST & SUPER FAST
FAST: SWIX LF6 (10F to 21F)
Super Fast: SWIX HFBD6 (10F to 21F)
Apply race wax SWIX LF6 or SWIX HFBD6. Scrape and brush with Swix Medium Bronze Brush (T0162) 10 strokes. Do final brushing blue nylon (T160) 10 strokes. There are other expensive coatings that would run fast, but save it for an important race.
